Products

Why plant-based clothing?

Nearly all of our activewear is made out of plastic-based fabrics like polyester and nylon. Yes, even the leggings made out of recycled water bottles! After learning the chemical-heavy nature of plastic production, we felt that your skin deserved better. We've all been eating more plants and using more plants in our makeup and skincare, so why not choose plants for our clothing? It's a much healthier choice for your skin and for the planet.

How is the product made?

Our fabric is made out of 93% Tencel, 7% Spandex and the fabric is knit and dyed in Los Angeles, California. Our leggings are cut and sewn at Suuchi, a factory in New Jersey. We are proud to work with a woman-owned factory.

Where do the materials come from?

We work with a Tencel-based fabric that is knit and dyed in Los Angeles

How is the fabric for sweating in?

Tencel is super-absorbent. It is known for wicking sweat quickly off of your skin so you stay dry during your workout. This fabric is not treated with quick-dry chemicals so it may stay wet for longer than you're used to.

I have an allergy to Formaldehyde - does your product contain any Formaldehyde?

All of our fabrics are tested by a third-party and are certified formaldehyde-free!

Are you going to make more products?

We are always working to add new products! If you have any suggestions feel free to send them our way by commenting on Instagram or sending us an email: contact@repriseactivewear.com

Do you sell men's clothing?

We are always working to add new products! If you have any suggestions feel free to send them our way by commenting on Instagram or sending us an email: contact@repriseactivewear.com

How much water does it take to produce the leggings?

We are actively working on measuring our materials impact, however Tencel has been shown to require 80% less water to produce than organic cotton.

What is your animal welfare policy?

Reprise does not permit the use of any animal products. We promise to produce products with sustainable, plant-based fabrics through an environmentally-friendly and cruelty-free process.

Packaging

What kind of packaging do you use?

Depending on the size of the order, we use plant-based compostable mailer from noissue or recycled cardboard boxes, however mailers are lighter and take up less space in the shipping carrier leading to less of a carbon footprint.

Our mailers are certified 100% compostable by the leading certification parties and meet standards required for domestic home compost. After degradation, they leave no harmful residue behind.

Why not reusable packaging?

We are currently exploring options for reusable mailer options for customers to opt into when placing an order.

Care Instructions

What are the care instructions?

Please treat your leggings with care! We recommend washing in cold water and hang drying. For more information, check out our Care Instructions page.

Does Tencel shrink?

Our products have been tested by a third-party testing facility for shrinkage and did not show noticeable signs of shrinkage. We recommend washing in cold water and hang drying to increase the longevity of your leggings.

How do I wash my Yoga Mat?

Öko Living mats will last a lifetime with proper care. Follow washing instructions below and stay away from chemical detergents and sunlight to keep the integrity of your mat strong.

Wash Frequency: Our mats are naturally antibacterial and antifungal so you only need to wash every 3-5 months depending on your practice.

General: Wash alone and not with other items and do not spot clean.

Hand wash (recommended): Fill a tub with cold water. Use natural laundry detergent. Pour the liquid in the tub and agitate. It's recommended to then place in wash machine rinse and spin cycle to remove excess water especially for the darker colors like clay. Then hang dry in shade. Hand washing is recommended for the best color and fabric longevity of the mat.

Machine wash: Wash with cold water on gentle cycle and toss cotton pouch of 4-5 soap nuts inside. You may also use any natural detergent but test a corner of the mat to make sure it's safe with the natural dyes. A front load washing machine or one without an agitator is required to maintain the highest quality of the handwoven fabric. If you have an agitator in your washer please hand wash.

Hang dry: Always hang in the shade. Do not machine dry. Do not roll the mat when wet.

In between washes: Wipe the mat down with a damp cloth, then hang to dry.

Reduce sun and heat exposure: You can use the mat outdoors but keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to reduce any color lightening. Keep out of hot temperatures over 95 degrees F. The latex can soften a bit at high temperatures and if not rolled properly it can stick to itself esp. if it is left folded or crumpled. If so warm with a hair dryer or warm water before attempting to gently pull it apart. Pulling apart without warming it up first could result in damage to your mat. If taking a hot yoga class over 100 degrees let the bottom of the mat cool a bit before rolling. Always roll the mat to store.

Yoga Mats

How is this mat better for the planet?

Toxin Free: Unlike most yoga mats made with PVC our mats do not use toxic chemicals or off-gass. We are 100% toxin free through the production, use and lifecycle of our mat.

Medicinal Herbs: Oko Living mats are organic and herbal dyed using an ancient ayurvedic method that preserves the bioactive medicinal qualities of the plants. Science shows our skin absorbs what it touches. Regular contact with the mat allows your skin to assimilate the properties of the herbs, thus supporting your vitality.

Aromatherapeutic: These mats are also made using some of the best relaxing aromatic herbs in the world. The mat will carry a subtly sweet, natural smell that reduces stress.

How well does the mat perform for Yoga/Hot Yoga

Yoga: Incredibly well! The Oko mat has been designed to keep you grounded, regardless of your practice. Organic cotton is luxurious woven for cushion with ribs for grip. It is especially amazing for restorative or meditative yogas.

Hot Yoga: This mat gets gripper as you sweat. And remains soft and dry as you work out. Cotton breathes, so it stays cool. It draws heat away from your skin to keep you cooler. Cotton absorbs moisture easily and can take up to one fifth of its weight in water before it actually feels damp.
